Saturday Scenes from the Goodguys 26th Summer Get-Together
We’re having fun times in the sunshine at the Goodguys 26th Summer Get-Together this weekend at the Alameda County Fairgrounds in Pleasanton! The NorCal car community has been itching for a picture-perfect weekend like this, and they responded to sunny skies and warm temperatures by packing the fairgrounds with all forms of American-made and American-powered rides of all descriptions, styles, and years.
It’s truly been a “sun’s out, guns out” type of day – and the firepower we’re talking about are power-packed muscle cars. American performance is the focal point of the weekend, from two buildings full of special indoor muscle car displays – including one that’s exclusively Mopars – to finalist selections being made for Muscle Car of the Year and Griot’s Garage Muscle Machine of the Year. Even the AutoCross crew is getting in on the action, with racers competing to make their way into the 16-car Muscle Car Shootout presented by Spectre Performance taking place tomorrow.
We heated things up with other types of action throughout the fairgrounds today, from the ground-shaking Nitro Thunderfest, to the smoke-producing Burnout Competition. We even had the Tri-Valley Quarter Midgets showing off their racing skills! Sprinkle in other cool features like the Cruiser-Rama bike display, live music from Luna Fish (sponsored by Dublin Chevrolet), plus a massive swap meet and Cars 4 Sale Corral, and you had a day of summer fun that was tough to beat!
We’ll keep the action going tomorrow, as well, with another full day of cool cars and fun times, highlighted by the Muscle Car Shootout and afternoon awards ceremony. Until then, check out some of the cool scenes we saw today!
