When Robert Peinado, owner of GP-Customs, in Lincoln, Nebraska called and said he had something special in the shop… he wasn’t joking. It’s a truck that’s one of 150 produced in 2017 and should give any Hellcat a run for its money without question.

It was love at first sight when owner, Troy Krieger saw one of these on display at SEMA last year. He was looking for a 2WD street truck with towing capabilities and found this used edition with just 3,000 miles at a Corvette dealership in South Carolina.

“The supercharger just screams unlike anything else I’ve ever driven,” he said. Troy frequents various Mustang rallies and autocross events nationwide with a fleet of other special edition cars. Including anything from a 2012 GT350, a 2007 Sanderson Eleanor Tribute car, 2010 GT500, a 727hp Saleen Black Label Convertible… you get the gist. It was fairly simple for him, he wanted something to pull his cars with in style.

And panache he has. To add his own personal touch, Troy took it to GP-Customs to install the custom Katzkin front and rear seats and a full Accuair Air Ride system for improved towing capabilities. They smoked-out the front and rear lights, and the entire truck was ceramic coated for added paint protection.

Troy looks forward to owning a truck that he can not only haul his cars with, but also turn around the next weekend and drag race it. It’s practical performance with more styling than any car guy or gal could ever dream of. Shelby American takes pride in preserving Carroll Shelby’s innovative philosophies as a racecar builder. It’s a legendary badge of excellence this truck wears proudly.
