Speedway Motors team driver Robby Unser seeks to defend his AutoCrosser of the Year title but will face the usual stiff competition from three-time winner Danny Popp, former winner Brian Hobaugh and this year’s Pro Class champion Jared Leisinger in his Summit Racing-sponsored 1964 Corvette roadster. Jared’s older brother Josh will field his ’64 Corvette coupe – also a Summit Racing team car. The 2018 truck class winner Jason Brady, will also be on hand to mix it up.

But all eyes will be on Unser in his purple and yellow Speedway Motors ’67 Camaro. Unser is optimistic about a repeat bid. “We are really looking forward to going to Scottsdale this year — Ken Thwaits, and Al Unser Jr. are all going to be at the big show with us, it’s going to be a great time” he said. “Speedway Motors and the team did a great job with the car to be able to win last year, which was no easy feat with the competition that is usually there. With the level of competition that shows up to all of these events, we worked very hard this year and collaborating with our friends at Ridetech which has really helped us out. We had a great time at Columbus, hard fight, getting better and more impressive every year, and we are looking forward to stepping our game up again as its going be needed. Overall, really excited for this show, the one event of the year to get east and west coast people together. It will be a tough fight, and will be a lot fun to watch — don’t miss it!”
