QA1 Coilover Suspensions Kits 88-98 OBS C1500
The prices of 1968-72 GM pickups are heading to the moon—heck, even the 1973-87 square bodies aren’t cheap anymore. But the General’s 1988-98 OBS C1500 GMT400 trucks are still affordable and readily available, making them ideal platforms for customization.
Add modern performance to a pickup that was designed for utility. With QA1’s bolt-on front and rear systems, not only can you lower your OBS C1500, but you’ll also have ride height adjustability on all four corners, giving you that perfect level stance. Adjustability options let you tailor the system to create the performance desired, so your truck can handle those corners and curves like a sports car.
Front Coilover Conversion Kits
Easily bolt on big suspension performance with ride height adjustability and better geometry with these front conversion systems, which integrate control arms with our coil-over shocks to lower the truck and allow room for wider wheels and tires. These systems offer control arm weight savings of 25 lbs. per side over stock, plus up to 7 degrees of caster and a range of +2 to -3 camber – plus, the extended upper ball joint significantly improves camber gain during cornering. The Level 2 system is great for street performance, while the level 3 is the perfect match for OBS owners with competition in mind while still allowing adjustability to cruise to the track in comfort.
The Level 2 kit provides up to two inches of drop with stock height spindles, and up to four inches with drop spindles. It comes with single-adjustable Pro-Coil coilover shocks with 550 pound springs.
The Level 3 kit will drop your truck’s front end up to six inches. It includes a fabricated, bolt-in upper control arm mount to reduce anti-dive and improve stability by tying in the upper shock mount. It has double-adjustable Pro-Coil coilovers with 600 pound springs.
Both kits offer upper and lower control arms with performance ball joints and low-friction, maintenance-free polyurethane bushings. Installation hardware is included.

Rear Coilover Conversion Kit

The systems come with unprecedented adjustability: the panhard bar, torque arm, trailing arms, bracket mounts, and shocks are all adjustable, and they are truly independent of each other, so you don’t have to worry about one adjustment affecting another.
