Vegas Style – Hellcat’s Hot Rod Wednesdays
Hellcat’s Hot Rod Wednesdays offer a welcome break each Hump day in Sin City. Beneath the neon signs of Las Vegas lies a rich culture of automotive enthusiasts. At any given cruise night you can stumble on hot rods, kustoms, mini trucks, modern performance, imports, and more. The variety and styles can make for quite the lengthy list. This always makes showing up an adventure.
If you think about late F
ebruary for most of the nation you may think of cars that are winterized, hibernating from the snow and wind. In Vegas, they still get together. Weather can play a factor in numbers, but Sin City offers something else that many others cannot, 353 days of average sun. Pair that with generally mild winters you can drive your ride 90% of the year. It does get chilly, but cold here is nothing compared to other spots around the nation.
Hellcat Racers Car Club thought this through by teaming up with Round Table Pizza and arranging a cheap, all-you-can-eat pizza deal on Wednesday nights with parking up front for cruisers. No matter what is going on in the parking lot, you can come in and warm up with some food. For many this is time for friends, jokes, tire kicking and stories as the tables fill with hungry bellies. Once everyone has had their fill of that tasty Round Table Pizza, the action heats up.
Outside in the lot people are hanging out, talking, telling big fish stories, and enjoying “car time”. Some weeks the venue is packed and other weeks it is “the usual’s”, but the diehards are always there. As the weather warms up more will come, however the Hellcats keep it going no matter what.
