Goodguys and Murray Kustom Rods Team Up for Rockin’ TGIF Party in Texas
Cool cars and rock and roll, what’s not to love? If you’re like us and dig a steady backbeat married to the smell of gasoline and burbling glasspacks, have we got a heck of a double-whammy event for you!
Goodguys Rod and Custom Association is headed to the Texas Motor Speedway, June 4-6 2021, for the inaugural 1st Meguiar’s All-Star Get-Together to kick off the NASCAR All-Star Race Week and will feature the Ultimate Truck Marketplace presented by Total Truck Centers. The event is extra cool because Goodguys is welcoming all years American-made or American-powered vehicles for all three event days, as well as any year/make/model pre-1987 vehicles as normal for all Goodguys National events.
To celebrate this new Texas tradition, Murray Kustom Rods in Fort Worth, TX will host a TGIF party on Friday night. World renowned rocker Jimmie Vaughan with be headlining the event and a rockin’ good time will be had by all.
According to Heath Murray; “Jimmie will be going live on stage starting at 8pm! There will be vendor booths, food trucks, beer, all kinds of old cars parked for blocks in every direction. We will have two streets blocked off for hot rods and customs to park close by the shop as well as an open house for everyone to come through and check out what we’ve been working on! Help us out and spread the word! The TGIF party at Murray Kustom Rods kicks off on Friday at 6pm until 10pm. The 1st Annual Meguiar’s All-Star Get-Together will feature thousands of cars on display, the Goodguys CPP AutoCross racing series, and dozens of awards. Like other Goodguys events, industry vendors will be on-site, vintage dragsters will fire off in the Nitro Thunderfest, a tire smoking burnout contest will be held, there will be fun activities for the kids, and loads of other Goodguys Good Times!
