Pacific Coast Dream Machines – Something for Everyone

Words and photos by Brandon Most

We have a dream, and so does every other car-loving guy or gal. The problem is the Pacific Coast Dream Machines is not really a car show. There, we said it and the sooner you figure that out the sooner you will start having fun at the Pacific Coast Dream Machines. Don’t be confused. The caliber of cars and trucks is right for a show, and with the only real qualification being someone’s dream ride, the variety is huge. The problem is concentrating.

How do you focus on a single car when you hear the Mustangs fire up in the background? No, not of the Ford variety (although those are cool too) we are talking about the 12-cylinder 4-digit horsepower warbird P51 Mustangs. While they or any of the other aircraft aren’t in the sky occasionally dropping skydivers out, the Metal Mulisha guys and their bikes are trying to take flight with the help of a couple rather large ramps.

Want something you can participate in? Hop in the monster truck for a ride, check out some of the live bands, put your kids in a bubble, or check out any number of the vendors on hand. Therefore, you can’t call this a car show and you can’t really expect this to be like many other events. The only real problem is that you only have six hours to take it all in.
