Saturday Scenes – 30th Autumn Get Together

The Autumn Get Together is going down this weekend in Goodguys’ backyard of Pleasanton, CA and we’re celebrating 30 years of this event which brings together anything and everything American made or powered. Joining over 2,000 hot rods, customs, muscle cars, and trucks are tons of fun activities to enjoy including a Smash 4 Cash demo derby for charity organized by the Hayward Fire Department, a tire smoking burnout contest, vintage camper trailers set up and on display, tons of hot hauler pickups filling three indoor buildings, and all the regular Goodguys show features hosted across the country.

Picture-perfect California weather is shining bright all weekend which brought out all the locals to get their last fling of hot rodding in before winter creeps up on us. We’ll be selecting Truck of the Year finalist for the 2020 running in both the early and late categories, celebrating our nations Veterans all weekend long with special events and discounted pricing, and doing an all-out last hurrah show for the hometown crowd.

Here’s a small sample of what we stumbled across today, but we’re sure there’s plenty more to see tomorrow! Until then check out this gallery and stay tuned to our social media platforms for more throughout the weekend!

Steven is the grandson to the legendary Bob Bunker who piloted the green "Folsom Flash" 1955 Chevy from the 70's through the 90's. As a dragstrip kid, Steven started his automotive journalism path by photographing drag racing events and also building drag cars while working in his fathers shop. Since joining our team, Steven has grown leaps and bounds journalistically. He is now artfully crafting stories around the awesome machines at the shows, as well as the men and women behind them. When Steven is not on the road covering events, he spends his downtime out on the water fishing, building his 1962 Chevy Nova, or cruising his 1987 GMC Suburban.
