10th Spring Lone Star Nationals – Same Show with an Added Bonus!

The 10th LMC Truck Spring Lone Star Nationals in Fort Worth, TX will kick off the 2020 Goodguys season and a lot of buzz has been floating around about the new LMC Truck Ultimate Showcase we’ve added to the event. It’s no doubt that Texas is Truck country. We see more classic trucks at our two Texas events than any other event on the schedule. With that said, it’s a fitting event for LMC Truck to step up and sponsor, and they’ve brought new, fresh ideas to support those Truck enthusiasts.

But this isn’t a “truck only” event as some rumors are speculating. The LMC Truck Spring Lone Star Nationals will be the same all-inclusive event many have come to enjoy with over 1,500 hot rods, muscle cars, street rods, and customs filling the infield of Texas Motor Speedway – we’re just adding an emphasis on Trucks and we’ll breakdown the Truck-specific portion of the event on Friday…so stay tuned for that!

For the rest of you, you’ll still get to enjoy three full days of hot rodding fun that the Spring Lone Star Nationals is known for including the track cruise on Saturday, AutoCross racing, a packed vendor midway, the burnout contest and Nitro Thunderfest action, Saturday Special Parking areas including the Builders Choice Top 10 chosen by KC Mathieu / KC’s Paint Shop, a long list of awards given out, and more!

With the dedicated Truck areas using real estate between the cup garages that is usually reserved for Saturday’s Special Parking, some Special Parking Areas will be moved to pit road on Saturday which was a hit in Charlotte over the years and will be a first-time addition to Texas!

We’re excited to expand and put more resources into the 10th Spring Lone Star Nationals event while still holding true to what’s made this event what it is over the past 9 years. We want to celebrate the 10th anniversary in a big way, and adding the LMC Truck Ultimate Showcase will do just that!

A lifelong car kid, Steven grew up around drag strips – his name may sound familiar because his grandfather is Bob Bunker, a Pro Mod pioneer who piloted the “Folsom Flash” ’55 Chevy from the ’70s through the ’90s. Steven’s father, Bob Bunker Jr., heads up Bunker Motorsports and is a regular in the West Coast racing scene, building chassis and race cars for more than 30 years.
