Heartland Nationals Vendors

Summer Shopping at the 30th Speedway Motors Heartland Nationals

Summer is here, hot rods are hitting the road, and long days are leading to cool evenings allowing us to get in our garages and work on our rides. The other cool thing? Car show season is in full swing and the upcoming Goodguys 30th Speedway Motors Heartland Nationals will have over 100 industry-leading manufactures on display showing their latest and greatest parts and products!

Now is the time to tackle that growing “to-do” list on your hot rod, muscle car, custom, or classic truck and what better place to get inspiration than one of the biggest car show events in the country? The Heartland Nationals is kicking off this Friday July 2nd and will draw over 5,000 pre-1987 vehicles to Des Moines, Iowa.

While you’re there be sure to chat with the vendors about some of those ideas swirling in your mind. They will offer you expert advice, tips, and possibly some new ideas. You might get lucky and find a show special deal, save on shipping charges and walk away with product in-hand, or score some free swag with an at-event purchase.

Director of Media & Marketing

A lifelong car kid, Steven grew up around drag strips – his name may sound familiar because his grandfather is Bob Bunker, a Pro Mod pioneer who piloted the “Folsom Flash” ’55 Chevy from the ’70s through the ’90s. Steven’s father, Bob Bunker Jr., heads up Bunker Motorsports and is a regular in the West Coast racing scene, building chassis and race cars for more than 30 years. With genetics like that, it’s no wonder Steven has a passion for both cars and motorsports. In addition to helping his father and honing his fabrication skills at Bunker Motorsports, Steven began shooting photos at the drag strip and capturing the action with his Canon camera. He is now artfully crafting stories around the awesome machines at the shows, as well as the men and women behind them. When he's is not on the road covering events, he spends his downtime out on the water fishing, building his 1962 Chevy Nova, or cruising his 1987 GMC Suburban.
